ABOUT ME
I appreciate you taking time to learn a little more about me. I always like to do that, too, when I read an author's books.
First a bit about my past. I grew up on a family farm in central Montana near the tiny town of Fort Shaw (which was the location of one of the early forts built in the 1800's). As a child, I went to school in the old fort (we even used to find arrowheads on the playground). I believe this early contact with the Old West is part of the reason I like to read and write in that time period.
I also have a fascination with small town living (although I currently live in Pasadena, California). Most of my almost 40 novels are set in small towns (with the exception of my Sisterhood of the Dropped Stitches 4-book series that is set in Pasadena). I'm best known for my series of contemporary books set in Dry Creek, Montana.
When I am not writing, I enjoy my large extended family (I have dozens of cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews). In addition, I love to go out to eat with my friends and go to plays and concerts.
I also love to hear from my readers so, if you get a chance, leave a comment here under the Contact tab above.
